M20 Engine

 

M20 engine- single overhead cam, tooth belt driven" six cylinder, twelve valve-

“Small block”

 

This is the base six cylinder engine fitted in two litre and two point three guise into E2l’s, and later with additional cubes i.e. two point five, into the E30. It found it's way into the E12 and E28 in two litre form and in addition it was enlarged even further to two point seven, for or the infamous 525E. The two and a half litre version is the most favoured, being a sweet running, well balanced unit, with legendary turbine smoothness.
