M10 Engine

M10 Engine---single overhead cam, chain driven, four cylinder, eight valves.

A lot of tuning parts are still available for these engines, being the original fitment in the 2002, 1602, and l5A2 etc. as well as the 821 early three series" E30's and E28's the power gains achievable, can be impressive.

There is nothing like popping the hood on a 'hot" E21 to be confronted by a fully “dressed” M10, with multiple Webbers, four branch etc to make the ol' ticker thump, and bring a nostalgic tear to the eye, but to be fair, the old eight valve is getting a bit long in the tooth these days, maybe it's time to modernise.
